Mezzo-soprano Jacquelyn Matava and organist Samuel Gaskin will present Sacred Song, a recital of music celebrating the Christian, Jewish, and Hindu religions. Vierne’s Les Angélus, Holst’s Vedic Hymns Book I, selections from Darius Milhaud’s Poèmes juifs, improvisations, and other works by Purcell, Dove, and more.

San Antonio Chamber Choir & The Children's Chorus of San Antonio
Laud to the Nativity
The San Antonio Chamber Choir collaborates with the Children's Chorus of San Antonio to present Respighi's Laud to the Nativity. This multi-movement work, depicting the shepherds' journey to Bethlehem, will be presented in the original Italian.

Jason Roberts, organist, is a graduate of Rice University, the Yale Institute of Sacred Music, and the Manhattan School of Music. He currently serves on the faculty at Westminster Choir College in Princeton, New Jersey, and keeps an active recital schedule.

Chanticleer
Chanticleer was founded in San Francisco in 1978 by singer, musicologist, and Incarnate Word College (now University) graduate Louis Botto. Chanticleer’s repertoire is rooted in the Renaissance, and has continued to expand to include a wide range of classical, gospel, jazz, popular music, and a deep commitment to the commissioning of new compositions and arrangements.
